At the Val A. Henry Legacy Scholarship Fund, Inc., we believe that investing in education means building upon the great work already taking place in our schools.
This week, members of our Board of Directors had the privilege of visiting P.S. 375 Jackie Robinson School in Brooklyn to donate a diverse collection of STEM educational resources to enhance the school’s existing science laboratory and STEM program.
During our visit, we met with members of the school’s leadership team to discuss the importance of providing students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences and the role community partnerships play in supporting educators. Following our discussion, we presented the STEM resources and commemorated the occasion with a group photo celebrating the beginning of what we hope will be a lasting partnership.
Our donation included a variety of educational resources designed to complement the school’s existing STEM curriculum, including engineering and construction activities, electronics exploration kits, magnet science experiments, plant science investigations, LEGO® building resources, and measurement and mathematics learning activities.
These additional resources will provide students with even more opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on discovery, creative problem-solving, and collaborative learning.
We are grateful to Principal Geters, Ms. Maja Jarovic, and the entire P.S. 375 Jackie Robinson School community for welcoming us and for the incredible work they do every day to inspire their students. Their commitment to educational excellence made it a privilege for us to contribute to an already thriving learning environment.
